Incredible message! Lord let this truly sink in. Let us seek after you, and nothing else. Let us be satisfied in you, and nothing else.

As surely as the sun will rise…

You’ll come.. Let your glory fall as you respond to me. Spirit rain, flood into my thirsty heart again.

I need this right now. My heart is way too burdened with the past and the shame and the sin and the depravity that I’ve known. He’s my only hope, my only sure comfort, my only true need. I’m lost without Him. I’ve got nothing—nothing to offer and nothing to gain. Please, Lord, don’t leave me in this place. Hear me, lest I be as those who have gone down into the pit. If You do not hear me from your throne, I’ll be crushed under the weight you bore on Calvary. If you don’t take it away, I won’t be able to bear it. I can hardly bear the memories…

I’m so excited for my two friends Jeff and Molly and the beginning of their new life together. I love you both dearly, and I know that the Lord is going to bless you as you grow together throughout the rest of your lives.

Glorious Ruin Tour

Pastor Tullian just finished a book called Glorious Ruin: How Suffering Sets You Free that will be available October 1st. He’s going on a tour around the country talking about God’s work in our suffering. As one who is no stranger to suffering and one who knows so many people who have experienced or are currently going through much suffering, I can’t wait to read his book to see how he connects the Gospel to this universal experience of all people.

Message to the High School Group

I’m speaking tomorrow morning at the high school youth Sunday service (right before church). I was trying to think of how I might grasp their attention, so I decided to make a Prezi.
